The cost of liposuction depends on what areas are being treated. The more areas that are treated the greater the cost.  This can range between $1,500.00 for one small area up to $10,000.00 for many very large areas.

2. Can exercise get rid of specific areas of fat without liposuction?

Exercise and dieting can reduce excess fat overall. However, liposuction is indicated to reduce pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.

3. Is liposuction a good way to lose weight?

Liposuction is not considered to be a method of weight loss. Only up to 10-12 pounds of fat can be safely removed during liposuction and usually much less than that is actually taken.

7. What is ultrasonic liposuction?

Ultrasonic liposuction is utilized to emulsify or liquefy fat before it is removed. The technique affects only the fat cells while sparing the surrounding nerves, blood vessels and muscle tissue, thus allowing more fat to be removed with less trauma to the surrounding tissues.  It also causes more tightening of the overlying skin after the fat is removed.
