1. What is laser liposuction?
Laser liposuction is the procedure in which a specifically targeted laser scans the exterior of the body in the area from which fat will be removed. A small incision (1/4") is made and the liquid fat is then permanently removed.
2. Can the fat come back?
Fat cells are permanently removed. The body does not make new fat cells.
3. Is it true that other areas get fat after liposuction?
No, if you maintain your weight you will maintain your shape.
4. Is liposuction surgery painful?
No, a numbing solution is injected prior to removing the fat.
5. When can exercising be resumed?
Patients are able to return home about one hour after the procedure and can return to work and social activities in just a few days and are usually exercising within one week.
6. How much time off work is required?
Usually a week would be sufficient.
7. Where are the scars located after liposuction?
The scars are usually small and placed in hidden areas and fade out as they heal.
