Yes, the fat cells removed are gone for good. The contour improvement is permanent, however, weight gain can still occur. Diet and exercise are important components.

Generally not well. There are some modifications of liposuction including superficial liposuction, laser liposuction and ultrasound assisted liposuction that can in some patients result in a modest amount of skin tightening.

The remaining fat cells can swell. The fat cells removed are gone for good.
5. Is it true that other areas get fat after liposuction?
If diet and exercise are not a component of the treatment. With weight gain, the fat has to go somewhere.
6. Is liposuction surgery painful?
Generally it can be done under very light sedation and the recovery is relatively easy.
7. When can exercising be resumed?
I recommend to resume exercising after 6 weeks to limit swelling.
